Learn with Us!

Have you always wanted to get your hands in clay and create beautiful pieces for your home or to gift to others? Please come learn with us! 

We offer individual, introductory lessons based around your schedule. Just call 757.941.8926 to book your first lesson. Please have a couple of dates in mind when you call. We book quickly so your first option may not be available. 

Individual Wheel Lesson (1 hour): $45

Handbuilding Lesson (2 hours): $60

Your introductory lesson will consist of two visits. The first visit is when you create your piece from raw clay. We will teach you all the fundamentals in this visit so you many continue to practice your new skills. Your second visit will be an introduction to glazing. The total turnaround time for your lesson piece is approximately two weeks.

In addition to introductory lessons, we offer scheduled group classes. Group classes will help you build upon the fundamental skills. It is fun to create with others! Please don't hesitate to sign up -- we only have 6 slots available per class so they fill up fast. The group class schedule is listed at the top of this page.

For others who are in town just for a few days, we offer paint on pottery.

Learn Pottery with Us!

Class offerings

Wheel Classes will be offered in 4 week sessions. Each class will be 2.5 hours per class and will include a 25 lb bag of clay and firing. Classes are limited to 6 students.

These will be for beginners who wish to learn or improve on the basic skills of throwing. Centering and pulling sides with be the main focus of the class.

Beginning Pottery Wheel classes $230

Beginning Hand Building classes will be offered in 4 week sessions. These classes will be 2 hour sessions. Slab, coil and sculpture will be covered in class

$230 includes 25 Lbs of clay and firing

Whether you are just starting or just need a refresher, a one on one lesson may just be what you need. Beginners will learn to center and pull sides using 1 pound of clay.

$45 per hour. includes clay and firing

Beginning classes start out with making your own mug. this covers all of the skills needed to do from basic to advanced slab work.
